They are designed to be very short sessions around 10-15mins, delivered the day before the testing day in school/college tutor time or when is most convenient. They act as a reminder to students to do their test and to boost student engagement with testing. From earlier phases of the programme they have been shown to have a positive effect on students taking part in the programme and returning their samples.
The lessons focus on how we can all play our part in helping to reduce the spread of the virus. By informing students and sharing the science behind the messages we are helping the students’ understanding as to how their actions can help keep their families and communities safer.
They have been tried and tested and we have collected and responded to feedback from both staff and students.
There are a total of 10 sessions provided in 2 different formats:
- A PowerPoint with audio commentary and all relevant video clip links, giving staff flexibility to choose how they want to deliver the sessions themselves.
- An Articulate version of each session has been designed for independent/self-directed learning, available within the student resources section.
