Looking Back

LifeLab is a unique initiative created in 2008 by the University of Southampton in collaboration with the National Institute for Health Research Southampton Biomedical Research Centre and University Hospital Southampton. LifeLab continues to develop with the support of researchers from the Human Development and Health School, and the Healthcare Enterprise and Innovation School, Faculty of Medicine, the MRC Lifecourse Epidemiology Centre, the Clinical Informatics Research Unit and the Southampton Education School, Faculty of Social Sciences.  

LifeLab's state-of-the-art purpose-built educational facility is based in the heart of University Hospital Southampton. Since opening in 2014, over 13,000 young people have visited LifeLab and taken part in our educational experiences.
